Prime accused of Nabha jail break arrested in Indore

Indore (Madhya Pradesh) [India], Jan. 17 : The Indore Police on Tuesday arrested Kulpreet Nita Singh Deol, the prime accused of the Punjab's Nabha jail break incident.

The police informed that Kulpreet alias Nita used to operate a criminal gang and conduct organised crimes from 2012 and was involved in crimes such as kidnapping and robbery is robbery Snatch vehicle in Punjab.

On November 27, 2016, Khalistan Liberation Force terrorist Mintoo along with Kashmir Singh, gangsters Amandeep Dhothian, Vicky Gounder, Gurpreet Sekhon and Kulpreet Singh were freed by a group of armed men, around 10-12 in number, who stormed the high security jail at Nabha in Patiala district.

Mintoo was nabbed on November 28 from New Delhi railway station, a day after he escaped with five other inmates from Punjab's Nabha Jail.

During his interrogation the self-styled KLF chief had reportedly told interrogators about expansion plans of the KLF through Pakistan's Inter-Services Intelligence.

Days before the Nabha jailbreak, he had his last Skype chat with his Pakistan handler Harmeet, a KLF militant who managed to flee to Pakistan, and is living in a safe house under protection of the ISI at Dera Chall village in Lahore.

On the day of jailbreak, lakhs of rupees were deposited in a bank account, which was supposed to be handed over to Mintoo by Shagun Sweets owner, who was arrested by the Punjab Police, but Mintoo managed to flee, so he couldn't get the money, said sources.
