Rajnath holds high-level meeting to review border security

New Delhi [India], Oct. 12 : Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh chaired a high-level meeting to review the border security situation at his official residence here on Wednesday evening.

The meeting - attended by Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar, National Security Advisor (NSA) Ajit Doval, Prime Minister's Principal Secretary Nripendra Misra, Home Secretary Rajiv Mehrishi, Intelligence Bureau chief Dineshwar Sharma and other senior Home Ministry and Defence Ministry officials - discussed fresh intelligence on spurt in infiltration bids from across the border, intelligence on movement along the Rajasthan border, inputs on BRICS among others.

The meeting came in the wake of increasing terrorist strikes on security forces' camps along the Line of Control (LoC).

Security forces neutralised two terrorists in an operation conducted at pampore in Jammu and Kashmir today.
