Raman Singh inaugurates ‘Startup Chhattisgarh’ to give impetus to startups

Raipur (Chhattisgarh) [India], Sept. 13 : Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Raman Singh on Tuesday inaugurated the 'Startup Chhattisgarh' scheme, which aims to give impetus to startup projects in the state.

Addressing media here at the Shri Shankaracharya Institute of Professional Management and Technology, Singh said his government would give tax exemptions to those venturing into this sector.

Singh said that his government was committed to make 'Start-up Chhattisgarh' a grand success and would extend full support to develop the enabling ecosystem for start-ups in the state.

The state government launched its action plan for promoting start-ups in Chhattisgarh and announced for boot camps covering all 27 districts of the state.

After the launch of 'Start-Up India' campaign by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in January, 2016, states were to prepare their action plan and were asked to implement the same.
