Rio de Janeiro, Aug.7 : The Indian women's archery team, who are one of the country's biggest medal hopes at Rio Olympics, will aim to book their place in the semi-finals of the team recurve event when they take on Russia in their last eight clash later today.

The Indian team comprising Deepika Kumari, Laxmirani Majhi and Bombayla Devi qualified for the quarter-finals after beating Columbia 5-3 in a nail-biting qualifying match.

They will now take on Russian team of T. Dashidorzhieva, K. Perova, and I. Stepanova. Earlier, the team had faced tough opposition from Colombia in the 1/8 elimination round of the women's recurve archery event, but eventually came out on top to set up last eight clash with Russia.
