Seoul, Aug 28 : South Korea reported 371 new Covid-19 cases on Friday, raising the overall caseload to 19,077.
The daily caseload was down from 441 on the previous day, but it continued to grow in triple digits for 15 straight days, reports Xinhua news agency.
The number of confirmed cases for the past 15 days reached 4,307 owing to infections in Seoul and its surrounding Gyeonggi province.
Of the new cases, 145 were Seoul residents and 112 from Gyeonggi, while 12 were imported.
Three more deaths were confirmed, leaving the death toll at 316.
The total fatality rate stood at 1.66 per cent.
A total of 90 more patients were discharged from quarantine after making full recovery, pulling up the combined number to 14,551.
The total recovery rate was 76.27 percent.
Since January 3, the country has tested more than 1.88 million people.
