Shah silences U.P. CM, says it’s time for Akhilesh to give report on five years

Lucknow (Uttar Pradesh) [India], Sept. 3 : Addressing "Cyber Warriors" of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) at the social media workshop here on Saturday, party's national president Amit Shah said it was time for Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav to give a report on his five years of rule, because the saffron party had in the past two and a half years done such works that the Samajwadi Party and their friend the Congress could not do in the past 70 years.

"In the past two and a half years, the BJP has done such works that you and your friend Congress could not do in the past 70 years, and you ask what we have done," said Shah.

Taking a jibe at Akhilesh Yadav for seeking two and a half year's report from the Modi government, he said, "When we will come back in 2019, we will give answer to every single word and will demand answers from you as well.

This is your time to give a report on your last five years' of rule in Uttar Pradesh. You will not give the answer, yet I will question you." "The Samajwadi Party, BSP and the Congress have ruled the state for 10 years.

The U.P. Government and the people should not be in a quandary that there was a government of the Congress at the Centre, because the Congress had the support of both the SP and the BSP for ten years.

And therefore, the SP and the BSP are equally responsible for the UPA government at the Centre as the Congress," he said, adding that the SP and the BSP are equally responsible for the sins commited by the UPA for ten years.

Hailing the social media workshop for BJP workers, Shah said, "I consider the Social Media workshop for BJP workers important for the election purpose." Recounting his relations with the state, he said, "Since 2012, I have a different kind of attachment with Uttar Pradesh (U.P.); the party made me general secretary and handed over the responsibility of U.P.

and the elections came in 2014. In 2014, the people of the country took a very important decision; they elected a government with full majority after 30 years.

They gave full majority to a non-Congress party for the first time after the freedom." "The people handed over the command of the country to the BJP under the leadership of Narendra Modi, and for two and a half years, the BJP government is ruling the country with full majority,' he added.

In an effort to appease voters in view of the upcoming assembly elections, Shah said, "I have no hesitation in saying that the credit for the full majority to the BJP government goes to Uttar Pradesh.

Had the people of the state not given 73 of the 80 seats there would not have been a majority government at the Centre." "If today Modiji is giving a momentum to the development in the country, it's because of the people of Uttar Pradesh and the BJP workers and I want to say it through 'cyber warriors' sitting in this meeting hall that as the president of the BJP I bow to the people of U.P.

time and again," he added..
