Sharif vows to provide healthcare facilities to masses

Islamabad [Pakistan], Jan. 13 : Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has said that government is determined to provide standard health care facilities to the people.

He was addressing the launching ceremony of Prime Minister National Health Programme at Narowal on Thursday.

Sharif said the programme is aimed at serving deserving segments of society, who cannot afford medical treatment and facilities.

He said that standard medical care facilities will be provided to the health card holders at private hospitals as well.

The Prime Minister said that the government will bear medical expenses of two hundred and fifty thousand rupees, and if these expenses cross this mark then those will be met by Bait-ul-Maal.

He said that one hundred and sixty thousand health cards are being distributed among the deserving people at Narowal.

Speaking on other national issues, Sharif said that back of terrorism is broken and law and order situation has been improved.

He said that load shedding will be ended by 2018. Later, the prime minister distributed health cards among the people..
