Visakhapatnam [India], Nov. 21 : Indian Test skipper Virat Kohli, who had everything doing his way in the second Test of the ongoing five-match series against England, called the ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium in Visakhapatnam his favourite venue along with the Adelaide Oval.
"It's been a lucky ground for me. Every innings that I have played here, I have scored runs and it remains a special ground, every time I come here, I get a good feel, pretty similar to Adelaide, the kind of feel I get there," Kohli who was adjudged Man of the Match for his knocks of 167 and 81, said in the post-match presentation ceremony.
After clinching a 246-run win on the final day, the swashbuckling Indian batsman said, "You want to play exciting cricket because so many people come to watch.
They help you through tough situations. We wanted to make sure we batted five sessions, get 450+ which is what we did then the bowlers were always on top.
The scoreboard pressure really counts. There wasn't much happening in the wicket, but the batsmen succumbed. I knew I was striking the ball well." The 23-year-old Indian batsman has so far hit scored three Test centuries and an ODI ton at the Adelaide Oval.
Whereas, in Vizag, he has two ODI centuries and one Test ton to his name..
