New Delhi [India], Nov. 21 :Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan and actor-filmmaker Farhan Akhtar recently expressed their gratitude to the conveners and CEO of Global Citizen Festival Hugh Evans, for laying emphasis on important issues of the country like gender inequality, sanitation and primary education.
"Thanks Hugh Evans and Global Citizen Festival India for bringing issues of gender equality, quality education, water and sanitation to the fore.
Thanks for including me," King Khan tweeted. The 'Rock On' star, who performed at the festival with megastar Amitabh Bachchan also congratulated Evans for the event and said it was a "privilege to be part of it." "Congratulations Hugh Evans on an incredible event and on the social impact it's already created," Farhan posted through his official twitter handle.
For the unversed, the event took place on Saturday night in Mumbai and saw international artistes like Jay Z, Demi Lovato, British band Coldplay along with some top notch performers from the tinsel town.
