SSB seizes synthetic drug worth Rs. six crore on Indo-Nepal Border

Kolkata (West Bengal) [India], Oct. 10 : The Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) has seized synthetic drugs worth Rs. six crore in the international market on the Indo-Nepal Border in West Bengal. In a release, the Home Ministry said that the troops of the SSB deployed at Ranidanga in West Bengal seized two boxes of Methamphetamine synthetic drug yesterday, weighing 1.1 kilogram and apprehended one person, coming from Nepal, with the drugs.

It said that the seized drug is the purest form of Methamphetamine, a strong stimulant and is more potent than cocaine.

The seized contraband and apprehended person have been handed over to the local police and investigation is underway.
