Damascus [Syria], October 3 : At least 17 people were killed after two suicide bombers attacked a police station in Syrian capital Damascus on Monday.
A suicide car bomb went off in Damascus' central Midan neighbourhood in front of a police station, the local media reported.
Following the car bomb, two suicide bombers detonated their explosive belts inside the station. No group has claimed or commented on the incident so far. Midan itself has been the target of several bombings during the country's over six-year war. The same police station in Midan was targetted last December, when a suicide seven-year-old girl blew up inside the station, in what later appeared to be remotely detonated by al-Qaida-linked groups.
