United Airlines pilot scares passengers with rant on intercom about Trump, Clinton

New York [USA], Feb. 13 : A pilot of the United Airlines flight bound for San Francisco International Airport had to be replaced before takeoff on Saturday after she broke into a bizarre rant about the recent U.S.

elections, Donald Trump, Hillary Clinton and her personal life over the plane's intercom. According to a report by NBC 4 New York, a United Airlines Flight 455 was parked at Austin-Bergstom International Airport when its pilot dressed in street clothes took control of the intercom and began discussing her divorce and firing off about the recent election.

Following this, many passengers got off the plane as they felt unsafe and uncomfortable, according to Randy Reiss, a passenger on the airplane.

United Airlines issued a statement regarding the ordeal while confirming that the pilot was removed from the airplane.

The Fortune quoted a passenger as saying that the pilot used the plane's intercom to abuse both President Trump and Hillary Clinton.

The pilot reportedly announced she was going through a divorce, and commented on an interracial couple in the first-class section, saying "yay unity." "We hold our employees to the highest standards and replaced this pilot with a new one to operate the flight.

We apologize to our customers for the inconvenience," said the statement from the airlines. Flight 455 eventually departed from Austin roughly two hours late, United Airlines said in a statement.
