Vivekananda Kendra to celebrate ‘Universal Brotherhood Day’ on Sept 10

New Delhi [India], Sept 6 : In commemoration of the invigorating speech delivered by Swami Vivekananda at the Parliament of Religion, Chicago, America in the year 1893, Vivekananda Kendra, Delhi will be celebrating Universal Brotherhood (UB) Day on September 10.

Vivekananda Kendra, a spiritually oriented service mission, with its headquarter at Kanyakumari, celebrates UB Day on every year on September 11, in commemoration of Swami Vivekananda's speech at Chicago.

This year, Delhi branch of Vivekananda Kendra is going to organize special program at Pochanpora village Shama ji temple compound Stadium, Sec 23 Dwarka, New Delhi.

"The Objective of the celebration is to bring to the focus of our youth, the Dynamics of our Motherland, her great present strength and also her destiny to guide the world, to the focus on cultural traditions, to pay homage to all those who laid their lives for the protection of our Motherland and to establish brotherhood among the various sections of the society," said Yajin Bhatt, Head of UB DAY Celebration of Vivekananda Kendra in a press release issued here.

"We are expecting a gathering of 2000 meaningful people, and are eager to begin new era with the concept note of Universal Brotherhood," Bhatt added.

"This Program "Universal Brotherhood" is being held with the motto to make this country and the world at large a better place to live in.
