West Bengal: International human trafficking racket busted

Darjeeling (West Bengal) [India], Feb 28: West Bengal CID has arrested one person from Panitanki Indo-Nepal border on Tuesday for allegedly trafficking two girls.

The girls, Purnima Gurang, Smita Rai and accused trafficker Bhupender Kumar are Nepali nationals. Officials say that, these girls were being sent to Delhi, from there both will be sent to Nairobi, Kenya; to work at a dance bar and later on will be forced to involve in prostitution.

The investigation is on for the Delhi based trafficker Aryan and Nairobi based trafficker Ankit Patel @Rockey.

This case seems to be an international human trafficking, added the police. During interrogation Bhupender revealed that Ankur Patel @ Rockey is the brother-in-law of actress Mamta Kulkarni.
