Oscar 2017: Quite a disappointment for ‘La La Land’

New Delhi [India], Feb. 27 : All eyes were on 'La La Land' on the big night of the 89th Academy Awards, but looks like, things were not as smooth as expected.

The movie, which was nominated for 14 categories, bagged six trophies, with a defeat in some most important ones like 'Best Picture' and 'Best Actor.' The categories in which, 'La La Land' took back the Golden statuette are: .

Best Actress- Emma Stone . Best Director- Damien Chazelle . Best Original song- City of Stars . Best Original Score . Best Cinematography . Best Production design. Amidst all these, the most important, rather most unfortunate incident for the musical-flick was when 'La La Land,' by mistake, was announced the 'Best Film.' The original winner in that category was 'Moonlight.' However, John Legend presented a beautiful and unforgettable performance of the Oscar-winning song 'City of Stars.' On that note, 32-year-old Damien Chazelle, the director for the film, is the youngest director in history to ever win an Academy Award.
