U.S. honours its heroes on National Vietnam War Veterans Day

Washington D.C. (U.S), Mar. 29 : America has honoured its heroes on the first-ever National Vietnam War Veterans Day. On Tuesday, U.S. President Donald Trump signed a law recognizing the Vietnam Veterans. A White House press release said, Trump signed S. 305, the "Vietnam War Veterans Recognition Act of 2017" into law. "S. 305, the "Vietnam War Veterans Recognition Act of 2017," which encourages the display of the U.S. flag on March 29, National Vietnam War Veterans Day," the statement read. The bill passed the Senate in February and passed in the House last week. Former president Barack Obama declared March 29 as Vietnam Veterans Day in 2012. This new law will make the date a commemoration of Vietnam veterans every year. The Vietnam war ended in 1973 with the withdraw of U.S. forces. Vietnam was unified under Communist rule two years later..
