AAI celebrates its 22nd Annual Day

New Delhi [India], Apr. 1 : The Airports Authority of India on Saturday celebrated its 22nd Annual Day at the Sirifort Auditorium here.

To mark the day in grand manner, AAI is ensuring participation of each employee of the authority. Also, all the regional airports across the country too are celebrating the Day. To celebrate the auspicious day, Union Minster of Civil Aviation, Ashok Gajapathi Raju will grace the colorful evening of music and celebration today.

Union Minister of State for Civil Aviation, Jayant Sinha and Secretary, Ministry of Civil Aviation, R.N.

Choubey, IAS will be the guests of honour at the event. "Foundation day is a significant day for any organization where everybody gets to know about the history and the values of the organization and they also get a chance to analyze the organization's objectives.

We analyze and introspect over the growth and development of the organization. In addition to this it's also a time for the celebrations everybody gets a chance", said Dr. Guruprasad Mohapatra, IAS, Chairman, Airports Authority of India. Well known-Bollywood singer Shaan and AASMA Dance group are all set to mesmerize the audience at the cultural event.

On the eve of the celebration, an award ceremony cum Chairman's dinner party was hosted at Flying Club; AAI Officer's Institute in New Delhi with Mohapatra and other AAI officials attended the event.

To recognize the excellence and outstanding performances during the period of 2016-17 towards the development of the organization, four officials from the Airport Authority of India were conferred Chairman's awards.

At the award ceremony, Chandrasekhar Tewari, AGM (BD) was conferred the Chairman's award in the field of Finance for Innovation Excellence for the year 2016-17.

Subhash Kumar, General Manager (FS) and Pankaj Gupta, Jt. General Manager (EC) and the team were awarded for excellence service in the fire services and Chairman's award to course developer team of Indian Aviation academy respectively.

At the event, for connecting communities together, Sanjeev Jindal, General Manager, Engineering Project, Chandra Pratap Dwivedi, IAP, Engineering, Civil, Nandita Bhatt, DGM, Architecture and Aman Saini, DGM-Operations were also awarded with a trophy and a citation for Signature CSR program for Kishangarh Airport with minimum financial assistance from AAI.

The achievers of AAI will also be honored by the Union Ministers at the cultural event today. "We are growing with an immense pace, but still we have to work harder. We have great expectations from the people of the country and we want to live up to it by working even harder", added the AAI chairman.

With an aim to increase regional connectivity, Airport Authority of India has been tireless working towards better infrastructure and a road map for pan India.
