Aamir was not very convinced about his role in ‘Secret Superstar’

Mumbai [India], Dec. 17 : Aamir Khan feels his character is the 'tadka' in his former manager Advait Chandan's directorial debut 'Secret Superstar, which he was not so convinced to portray.

During the trailer launch of the flick in Mumbai yesterday, Mr. Perfectionist said, "This movie is about essentially about a 14-year-old girl and her mother and their relationship.

I am very integral part of the film. I am the 'tadka in dal' in 'Secret Superstar'." "I was very convinced from the very first narration itself.

I was not very convinced whether I want to do the role or not. But I was sure that I want to produce the film," he said. He further explained, "This character was extremely different from me and I did not want to do any kind of harm to the film.

So I told Advait that I want to go for a screen test. After the screen test, I decided to do the role." Speaking about the 'PK' star, his former manager and now the director Advait said that Aamir is not his 'Godfather' as he is a 'film school' for him.

"Aamir ji has been my film school, my college; he has been more than a Godfather. I applied in FTII several times, but got rejected. 10 years ago I got a chance to intern in Aamir sir's production, during the time of 'Taare Zameen Paar.' From then on, I feel like I am visiting film school every day.

People get Godfather in this industry, but I got a film school altogether," he said. The almost one and half minute speaks about a young girl, from a small town, whose dream of being a rockstar is not supported by her father.

The trailer also sees a blonde-hair Aamir telling us, "Superhit.sueprhit! Pasand aya toh like karo, pasand nehi aya toh taste change karo.

Love you!" Aamir also revealed at the event that the 'Secret Superstar' is none other than Zaira Wasim, who is playing his daughter in 'Dangal.'.
