New Delhi [India], Aug. 28 : The Anti-Corruption Branch (ACB) on Sunday summoned former Delhi chief minister Sheila Dikshit for questioning in connection with an alleged water meter scam.
The ACB gave a questionnaire to Dikshit, talking about which Dikshit said it has 18 questions and that it would take her some time to answer.
"ACB hasn't set a time limit for me to answer the questionnaire, there are a lot of details that I don't remember.
ACB questionnaire has 18 questions, it will take me time to answer them," she told the media here. Earlier in July, the ACB had questioned Delhi Water Minister Kapil Mishra in connection with the Rs.400 crore water tanker case.
During his questioning the minister said he was asked not even once about the then Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit's alleged involvement.
Dikshit is under the scanner for her alleged role in the water tanker scam worth Rs. 400 crores. Lieutenant Governor Najeeb Jung had earlier forwarded Aam Aadmi Party-led Delhi Government`s complaint of water tanker scam against Dikshit to the ACB last month.
The AAP government had in June last year constituted a fact-finding committee to probe the irregularities in hiring some 385 stainless steel water tankers by the Delhi Jal Board in 2012 during the Congress' rule.
