London [United Kingdom], Jan.15 : Tottenham Hotspurs have claimed second spot in the ongoing English Premier League after a 4-0 win over West Brom on Saturday.
Coach Mauricio Pochettino now believes his club is in the envious position of making a bid for the 2016-2017 EPL title, given the maturity with which his side is performing at present.
According to the Guardian, the Tottenham manager feels that the win over West Brom has sent out a powerful message.
Pochettino was quoted, s saying: "We have more belief now and we are much better than last season. We have nine more points than we had at this stage of last season [after 21 games]. We are showing that we have learnt a lot from last season. We are more mature. Today, we did not even concede a corner. The performance was brilliant, especially in the first 45 minutes. Now, we are looking at Manchester City. That is the most important game.".
