Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan laud Gorakhpur with IGCL launch

New Delhi [India], Oct. 6 : Young actors Alia Bhatt and Varun Dhawan are stepping up and out of their comfort zone to promote for a social cause.

The pair was recently spotted in Gorakhpur,where they inaugurated the Indian Gramin Cricket League (IGCL) in the city amid a lot of enthusiasm and warm welcome from the locals, reports Pinkvilla.

Both the stars had taken to Instagram to post updates from the event. Donning a white and black top teamed with denims and sunnies, the 23-year-old actress posted a picture with Varun and captioned, "Today in Gorakhpur a lovely initiative called IGCL great to see the youth so charged and passionate about cricket all over.

#badrinathkidulhania." Varun, dressed in a casual t-shirt and jeans, is seen addressing the crowd in a video he posted on social media.

The clip shows the 'Dishoom' star encouraging the young generation to pursue sports and education while the crowd cheers on.

"Got the opportunity to spend some time in Gorakhpur. We met a lot of talented kids. Had a lot of fun at the #igcl match. The league encourages kids to play sports rather than take up a life of crime," he captioned..
