Alwar (Rajasthan) [India], Apr.7 : A major fire broke out in Sariska tiger reserve on Thursday afternoon in Alwar.
The forest officials, reserve administration and district administration are trying to douse the fire that took place on reserves buffer zones at the Bura Singh hills near the city.
"Forest is near a village so we are trying to our best to douse the flames. Police and home guard officials are also helping us. All traditional steps are taken to quench the fire," fire department official said. The fire that broke out in the afternoon spread to larger parts, because the strong winds are hampering the control efforts and the fire are spreading to large areas.
Since, the fire is in the hilly areas, it's difficult for fire brigade to reach there. So the forest officials are trying to separate the area with green leaves..
