Assam CM condemns Tinsukia blast, says apt reply would be given

Guwahati (Assam) [India], Nov. 19 : Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal on Saturday condemned the Tinsukia blast and said whoever is involved will get an apt reply.

"I condemn this incident and whoever is involved in it, will, get an apt reply. I have ordered for proper treatment of the injured soldiers and our DGP will also visit the site," Sonowal said.

Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh also expressed his anguish and said the Home Ministry is closely monitoring the situation.

Three army jawans were killed and four injured when the vehicle they were travelling in was damaged after an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) planted by suspected ULFA terrorists went off early this morning.

The injured have been shifted to a military hospital, said army sources. After the incident that took place at 7 a.m., the army launched a combing operation to nab the terrorists, said sources, adding that the search operation is still on.
