Balochistan govt. steps up security measures in province

Quetta, Aug. 5 : The Balochistan government has urged law enforcement agencies to make a joint strategy to enhance its efforts against terrorists and other criminals, in a bid to improve security measures in the province.

In a meeting presided by Chief Minister Nawab Sanaullah Zehri yesterday, the government decided new measures for improving security situation, reports the Dawn.

The meeting also reviewed the prevailing law and order situation in the province and stressed the need for further measures so that terrorists could not reemerge.

The Security agencies have also been asked to focus on the Sariab Road area and localities on the suburb of the city where most incidents of target killings occur.

Meanwhile, briefing about the, Inspector General of Balochistan Police Ahsan Mehboob said that the security plan of the province was once again being examined and flaws and weaknesses in it were being removed.
