Djokovic to meet Nishikori in Rogers Cup final

Johannesburg, July 31 : World number one Novak Djokovic continued his imperious form as he stormed into Rogers Cup final with a comfortable victory over 10th-seeded Gael Monfils in the men's singles clash in Toronto on Sunday.

The Serbian registered a 6-3, 6-2 win over his French opponent in the semi-final clash that lasted one hour and 13 minutes.

With the win, Djokovic has taken his career head-to-head win record against Monfils to 12-0. Reflecting on the match, Djokovic admitted that he does have a certain mental comfort heading to the match as he have had a plenty of success against the Frenchman,Sport24 reported.

The 29-year-old, however, said there was no guarantee of his victory, especially when Monfils was looking eager to come out and play his best tennis.

Djokovic will now aim to win his record 30th ATP World Tour Masters 1000 title when he takes on third-seed Kei Nishikori in the summit showdown clash.
