FM Dar woos French investors to invest in Pakistan

Islamabad [Pakistan], Sept. 14 : Pakistan Finance Minister Ishaq Dar has urged the French industrialists, businessmen and investors to invest in Pakistan, while addressing the Movement of the Enterprises of France (MEDEF) in Paris.

According to a statement of the Ministry of Finance, Dar said that the investment climate in Pakistan is conducive to the European investment, reports Geo News.

He said that Pakistan's strategic location makes it an attractive destination for foreign investment and it has already attained 4.7 per cent growth rate which is better than the growth achieved in the last eight years.

"The French companies should take full benefit of China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) project which will link Pakistan with Afghanistan, CARs and Europe", he added.

"The population of 200 million offers business friendly opportunities to Foreign Firms", he said adding that the foreign companies working in Pakistan are having unparalleled profits.

He further said that there has been an unparalleled investment in North Waziristan despite security fears and added that Karachi is opening up for various investment opportunities for foreign investment including France.

MEDEF is a forum of French businessmen and enterprises having 800, 000 members across France..
