Adding on to this, Matt Damon is not only returning to his most iconic role with 'Jason Bourne,' but also is joined by director Paul Greengrass who was there behind 'Bourne Ultimatum.' Several years after his disappearance at the conclusion of 'Bourne Ultimatum,' the action-thriller unexpectedly resurfaces at a time when the world is faced with unprecedented instability. At the same time, a new program has been created to draw CIA's most lethal former operative out of the shadows and hunt him down while he is still trying to find all the answers to his past and family. Damon, in the film, is joined by Alicia Vikander, Vincent Cassel and Tommy Lee Jones; while Julia Stiles reprises her role in the series. Talking about the 45-year-old actor's return as Jason Bourne, producer Gregory Goodman said, "Matt makes Bourne very relatable as an 'everyman,' this protagonist who has found his way into this situation and is struggling to find his truth.a balance in who he is. Additionally, I believe the film's grittiness and realness stand in contrast to other films in this genre, and that will make people feel like they're watching something with more gravity."
