Kante helps Chelsea knock out Man Utd of FA Cup

London [UK], Mar. 14 : Mid-fielder N'Golo Kante scored a brilliant goal as Premier League champions-elect Chelsea booked their place into the semifinals of the FA Cup with a 1-0 home victory over Manchester United on Monday.

Kante scored a superb goal in the 51st minute of the game as his low drive finally beat defiant United keeper David de Gea, who saved superbly from Hazard and Gary Cahill before the break to keep Mourinho's side in contention before Chelsea made the breakthrough.

United manager Jose Mourinho was involved in touchline clashes with his Chelsea counterpart Antonio Conte and was verbally abused by Chelsea fans at the scene of many of his triumphs, including three titles.

It was a feud that bubbled throughout, with Conte reacting angrily in the second half of the game when the Portuguese kicked the ball along the touchline too close to the Chelsea manager for his liking.

Mourinho's first return to the Blues after his December 2015 sacking ended in a humiliating 4-0 thrashing and United ultimately fared little better in this quarter-final capitulation, secured by Kante's stunning strike, reports goal.com.

Chelsea, now unbeaten in their last 12 meetings with United, remain on course for the double in Conte's first season since being appointed as Mourinho's permanent successor.
