Katni hawala case: Accused Manvendra Mistry arrested

Katni, (Madhya Pradesh), Feb. 11 : Prime accused in the Katni Hawala case Manvendra Mistry was arrested by Katni Police today. Mistry had allegedly opened several fake bank accounts in order to launder an amount of Rs. 500 crore. The said accounts were opened at an Axis Bank branch in Katni district of Madhya Pradesh and were used to deposit scrapped currency post demonetisation.

The Katni Special Investigation Team (SIT) had been hunting for Mistry for over a month. His arrest is expected to reveal important information..
