Kolkata Test: Indian seamers bundle Kiwis out for 204

Kolkata [India], Oct.2 : Indian seamers produced a scintillating performance as New Zealand were bundled out for 204 in their first innings on the Day Three of the second Test here at the Eden Gardens on Saturday.

Resuming at overnight score of 128-7, BJ Watling and Jeetan Patel added 60 runs for the eighth wicket.

India broke the partnership when all-rounder Ravichandran Ashwin dismissed Patel (47) with his first ball of the morning.

Bhuvneshwar Kumar, who finished with five wickets in 10 overs on Saturday, added one more in the third over of the day to become the first Indian pacer to seal six wickets at home.

Mohammad Shami trapped Watling leg before for 25 before ending the New Zealand's innings to give India a 112-run first innings lead.

At the time of the filing of this report, India had begun their second innings, with openers Murali Vijay and Shikhar Dhawan batting on seven and four respectively.
