Man City sign goalkeeper Claudio Bravo from Barca

London [England], Aug.25 : Manchester City on Thursday confirmed the signing of goalkeeper Claudio Bravo from Barcelona on a four-year deal, signalling the end of Joe Hart's career at the Premier League club.

Chilean international Bravo, who won two league titles and a Champions League-winners medal at Barcelona, joined City for around 17 million pounds.

Reflecting on his new club, Bravo said he was proud to be joining City, adding that the opportunity to work with Pep Guardiola was too good to refuse, the Guardian reported.

Commenting on his final acquisition of the summer, Guardiola described Bravo as a fantastic goalkeeper and an excellent addition to the squad.

The manager further said that Bravo has experience and great leadership qualities, adding that he was in the prime of his life.

Meanwhile, Hart is facing career limbo as the England goalkeeper was sidelined by Guardiola for City's first three games of the campaign, citing that his passing was not good enough.
