Marouane Fellaini heads Man U to Europa League finals

London [U.K], May 12 : Marouane Fellaini smashed a decisive goal as Manchester United booked their place in the finals of the Europa league following a 2-1 aggregate win over Spanish visitors Celta Vigo at the Old Trafford on Friday.

Jose Mourinho's side, who registered a 1-0 win in the first leg at the Balaidos, settled for a 1-1 draw against Celta Vigo in the second leg of their semi-final clash.

United gave themselves a two-goal aggregate cushion in the 17th minute of the match when Fellaini headed home Marcus Rashford's cross for the club's 100th goal of the season, reported.

However, Celta, who needed two goals to clinch victory, levelled the score in the 85th minute of the match through Facundo Roncaglia to set up a tense final few minutes.

The visitors also had a chance to score another goal and emerge victorious, but John Guidetti failed to turn Claudio Beauvue's square pass into the back of the net and Mourinho's side hung on to reach the summit showdown.

United, who are bidding for their first Europa League triumph and a return to the Champions League, will meet Ajax, who clinched a 5-4 aggregate win over Lyon in the other semi-final, in Stockholm on May 25.
