Modi, Trump to meet within 100 days, says India-American industrialist

New York [USA], Nov.9 : With Donald Trump being elected as the 45th President of the United States, India-American industrialist Shalab Kumar has said that both leaders would be having a summit-level engagement within 100 days of the tenure of the Republican candidate as the US premier.

"As soon as Trump takes the oath as US President, there's a probability that Modi and Trump will meet within 100 days as India is very important for US.

There are lots of trade barriers between US and India from the past which will be rectified soon. I hope that India-US relationship would be as strong as that of US and United Kingdom," Kumar told ANI.

Talking about the relationship between India and the United States post Trump's victory, Kumar said the first effort should be to remove trade barriers so that both nations benefit.

Trump was today elected as the 45th president of the United States. Trump's surprising performance at the polls ended Hillary Clinton's quest to make history as the first female president of the United States.

Trump, a 70-year-old celebrity businessman who had never before run for office, is poised to become the oldest President ever elected to a first term.
