Muslims make effigies of Ravana on occasion of Dussehra

Aligarh (Uttar Pradesh) [India], Oct. 8 : A unique blend of communal and social harmony was witnessed in the Numaish Maidan of Aligarh, where Muslim craftsmen were seen making an effigy of demon king Ravana for the auspicious festival of Dussehra.

The effigy will be burnt on the last day of Dussehra (tenth day), marking the victory of good over evil.

"Our family has been making these effigies for the past 50 years, and it is because of that, we are also doing this work.

We have received orders from different cities and our team is doing the work sincerely," said Jahid, one of the craftsmen.
