Udalgiri (Assam) [India], Jan. 18 : In yet another major success, a joint team of the Army and Udalguri Police apprehended one dreaded NDFB(S) cadre from Daiphang Gaon area near Udalguri, Assam.
Based on specific intelligence input, a joint team of Red Horns Division and Udalguri Police launched an operation during the late evening on Tuesday.
An ambush was laid on the likely route of suspected terrorists. On being challenged, the terrorist tried to flee by melting into thick foliage. He was nabbed and found to be in possession of one AK series assault rifle with one magazine and ten live rounds.
During investigation it emerged that the apprehended cadre was Pushpo Basumatary alias B Fighter, an active and most wanted terrorist from Kokrajhar, Assam.
