Pakistan, Bahrain to develop mega projects of regional connectivity under CPEC

Islamabad [Pakistan], Apr. 1 : Pakistan and Bahrain will develop mega projects of regional connectivity under the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) as the two countries step up their trade and investment opportunities.

This was announced by Pakistan's Commerce Minister Engineer Khurram Dastgir at the Second Pakistan-Bahrain Business Opportunities Conference.

"Pakistan has laid the foundation of economic engagement with Bahrain, which will be transformed into 21st century economic partnership to step up trade and investment opportunities for the two countries," local Pakistan media quoted Dastgir as saying.

Bahrain's Commerce and Industry Minister Zayed Rashid Alzayani and business leaders of both countries were present at the conference.

Dastgir said that Pakistan gets excellent support and cooperation from Bahrain government. The Minister further said that Bahrain provides a gateway to member countries of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) being an important geographical location.

Alzayani said Bahrain was committed to enhancing trade and business relations with Pakistan..
