Root believes England bowlers can exploit conditions to win Edgbaston Test

London, Aug 7 : England batting mainstay Joe Root believes that there is still plenty of help for the bowlers at Edgbaston for his team to exploit and dismiss Pakistan on the last day of the third Test and take a 2-1 lead in the four-match series.

Root said there is still plenty of swing, spin and variable bounce which could be extracted by the host team's bowlers, reports the Guardian.

He added there definitely enough there to take 10 wickets. However, Mushtaq Ahmed, Pakistan's assistant coach disagreed with Root's assertion about the conditions and said there is swing in the wicket but in some spells only.

Ahmed, who said that it would be easy to bat on once a batsman, gets his eye in, believes his batters can bat for the entire day.

Earlier on Day Four, Johnny Bairstow and Moeen Ali put up a dominant stand of 132 in 27 overs to extend England's overall lead to 311.
