Sheen Bora case: Audio recordings been investigated and submitted in court as evidences, says CBI

New Delhi, Aug. 25 : Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) spokesperson Devpreet Singh on Friday informed that all the audio recordings referred in news channels in connections with the Sheen Bora murder case have been submitted in court as evidence.

"In the Sheena Bora murder case, all the evidence referred in certain news channels has already been fully investigated by the CBI.

All audio recordings form an integral part of the chargesheet filled by the CBI in court against Peter Mukherjee, Indrani Mukheerjee and others on the 19th of Nov.

2015 and 16th of March 2016. The court has taken cognizance of the recordings in the case," Singh told ANI. The CBI clarified that all the taped conversations between Indrani Mukerjea, Peter Mukerjea and his son Rahul Mukerjea being played in media, indicate that there was an attempt to cover up the Sheena Bora murder case, which it said was not true.

The recordings were made by Peter Mukerjea's son Rahul, who had been in a relationship with Sheena Bora.

Indrani, Khanna and Shyamwar Rai had allegedly strangled Sheena Bora inside a car in April 2012. The trio was arrested in August last year, while Peter was arrested in November. Sheena's skeletal remains were found in a forest in Raigad. The crime, which came to light in August, last year, is allegedly linked to certain financial dealings.
