Sofia Boutella to star in HBO’s ‘Fahrenheit 451’

Los Angeles [USA], June 7 : Sofia Boutella, who will be seen playing the titular character in the upcoming movie 'The Mummy,' has bagged another big Hollywood project.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, the 35-year-old actress is all set to play the female lead in HBO Films' upcoming movie 'Fahrenheit 451.' The cast in the adaptation of the Ray Bradbury classic include the likes of Michael B.

Jordan and Michael Shannon. Bradbury's 1953 novel is set in a futuristic America where books are outlawed and those that are discovered are burned by "firemen." Jordan will play Montag, a young fireman who forsakes his world, battles his mentor and struggles to regain his humanity.

Shannon will portray Beatty, Montag's captain and mentor. The 'Mummy' star will play Clarisse, an informant caught between the competing interests of Montag and Beatty.

The award-winning book has been adapted multiple times, including a 1966 film by Francois Truffaut and a 1982 Radio BBC version.

American director and screenwriter Ramin Bahrani will be behind the camera for the project. Amir Naderi and Bahrani will co-wrote HBO's new take. The 'Creed' star Jordan will executive produce via his Outlier Productions. Sarah Green will serve in the same capacity via her Brace Cove Productions. Alan Gasmer and Peter Jaysen will also exec produce, with David Coatsworth set to produce..
