Srinagar-Jammu highway cleared after five-day long snowfall

Srinagar, (Jammu and Kashmir), [India], Jan. 29 : The Srinagar-Jammu National Highway was cleared today, five days after snowfall in the valley led to closure of the roads.

Following the improvement in weather, the national highway has been thrown open for traffic after the road was cleared-off snow and debris left behind at few place.

Kashmir experienced fresh snowfall on Tuesday which continued intermittently yesterday as well. The snowfall also hit flight operations at Srinagar airport..
