Srinagar: Petrol bombs hurled at JK minister Naeem Akhtar’s residence

Srinagar, Aug 2 : Petrol bombs were hurled at Jammu and Kashmir Education Minister Naeem Akhtar's residence on Tuesday morning.

However, no injuries have been reported as he was not present in his house when the incident happened.

According to reports, one of the two petrol bombs landed in the house compound at Par Raipur while another fell outside.

Last month, people attacked the cavalcade of Naeem Akhtar with stones at two separate places in Bandipora district.

In 2002, a militant shot dead the Minister of State for Law and National Conference (NC) nominee from the Lolab constituency, Mushtaq Ahmed Lone, and three of his guards in Kupwara district.
