Temperature to hover between five to seven degrees for few days in Delhi: MeT Dept

New Delhi [India], Dec. 19 : The Meteorological (MeT) department on Monday said the temperature in the national capital will hover between five to seven degrees for the next two to three days.

"In Delhi, the minimum temperature will continue to be between five to seven degrees. There can be a slight fog and fall in temperature in two or three days," Sathi Dev, a scientist in MeT department told ANI.

She further said that there is no immediate chance of hitting cold wave criteria in the capital. The temperatures in the national capital have plunged below normal levels in the past two days. According to the MeT officials, the reason for the change has been north-northwesterly winds that have been transporting cold from the north.

Meanwhile, around 24 trains are running late, five have been rescheduled and one has been cancelled due to foggy weather in the national capital on Monday.

Six international and eight domestic flights at the Indra Gandhi International Airport have also been delayed following poor visibility.
